My Name Is Snickerdoodle: And you did what?

And you did what?

Saturday my parents surprised both Ian and I with the best gift ever! We all went out to dinner at Mimi's and then we strolled over to RC Willy's to sit on all the comfy couches and recliners. We wandered over to the baby section (which I had avoided in the past) and dreamt about our future nursery. I really fell in love with this crib and Ian really liked it as well. My parents bought it for our up and coming little one! I couldn't believe it! I never dreamed that I would own such a nice crib and almost came to grips that we may have to put our baby in the bottom dresser drawer...open of course! Words really cannot express how grateful I am for my parents unconditional love. I will love that piece of furniture and keep it in our family as long as we can. It's now more than a crib, but a reminder of my parents love and the love that Heavenly Father has for us. WOW! I am still amazed! Now we just have to wait 6-8 weeks for it to be delivered. And another 4 months to actually set it up. I still don't think by then my mom will be used to the thought of a black crib, but how cute will it be with PINK! She and I got the measurements and we are going to try to find material cute enough to make a bumper and other fun accesories.

Another great surprise this weekend came from my best friend's husband. A week ago Rachel shared with us that Greg has decided to get baptized. We were so excited for the both of them. Greg called Ian yesterday and asked him if he would confirm him a member of the church and give him the gift of the Holy Ghost. It made me want to cry that Greg asked Ian to do something so special. That could be the hormones peeking through! Only a week away to get to see that.

*My blog is being crazy and not allowing me to spell check...either that or I am spelling everything correctly...which I doubt so I am sorry!

  6. oh no! i just thought of something.... what if you do have more than one baby (gasp!). you will have to use a dresser drawer for each extra kid- and then i guess they can rotate out sleeping in the fancy crib. then one doesn't feel more loved than another:)

  9. love the crib...definitely a family heirloom...and you can set up the baby's room whenever your ready. I had K's done 3 or 4 months before...like as soon as i had confirmation that she was a girl! (i second the blue...but pink will be dang cute!)
