My Name Is Snickerdoodle: I have

I have

the best husband ever! I had gone to bed last night around 8. I was just watching tv and trying to get comfortable. Around 8:40 I had the huggest craving for an apple fritter. And I "needed" it bad! Up to this point I have been mostly craving berries and vegies, but I think it's taking a turn for the worst! I got up and sweetly asked Ian if he would go out and get me what I wanted...really knowing that he would just say that he would pick me one up tomorrow on his way home. To my surprise (well, not so much of a surprise because he is so great) he got up from watching tv and put his shoes on while asking me if I would like milk to go with it!!! I told him that I was coming with (because I wanted more than just the fritter!) We drove 20 minutes to the closest open late doughnut shop and they were all out of apple fritters! ARG! Thinking we were just going to go back home, Ian drove another 10 minutes out of our way to another doughnut shop...with another no apple fritter deny, but we decided to get a half dozen of other somewhat acceptable delectables. Not once did he complain and I almost cried over his wonderfulness! I crack myself up sometimes. Hopefully this craving will pass and I can move back to more healthy things!

  2. Don't feel too bad about craving those "not-so-good-for-you" "get-in-my-belly-right-now" edibles. I can't tell you have many midnight runs to the supermarket for Salt and Vinegar chips John made for me in 1994. I ate so many Salt and Viengar chips, FritoLay offered John and I stock in the company.
My only advice - pace yourself on your favorites. I ate soooo many Salt and Vinegar chips when I was pregnant, I can hardly eat a small portion of them now without getting sores in my mouth.
