My Name Is Snickerdoodle: Clean up, clean up...everybody clean up!

Clean up, clean up...everybody clean up!

I am now in wondering awe of how things don't stay clean. Once you turn around there is more laundry, dust and clutter! Oh wait! I am 38 weeks pregnant! That could have something to do with it. I have been on a cleaning roll today. Partly because things are bugging me and another part is hoping it will put me into labor.

My mom's work threw me a baby shower on Monday and gave me a gift certificate (of a fairly large amount) to Babies R Us. I was finally able to buy all the little things that were on my baby list. Tuesday I am getting a third shower thrown by the ladies in my church and neighborhood so we really should be set by then.

Monday is our 7th wedding anniversary. I really cannot believe that we have been married for that long. It's been a fabulous ride and I have enjoyed all of it. Even the not so fun times. We are going to celebrate tomorrow by going to a matinée movie and an early dinner. I am not a big fan of staying out late anymore because I am so tired by 6:30pm!

I also have my weekly dr. appointment on Monday so let's hope that I am farther along than last Monday...Dilated to a 1 1/2 and 75% effaced.

  2. Hey- I hope you're further along by monday too! Lucky you, I never had the nesting thing happen. I was so the opposite. My husband was cleaning the house like mad and I was just too darn HOT in the middle of July to feel like cleaning anything. I do have to warn you, I was 2cm dilated and 60% effaced for three weeks. And my labor still was 26 hours. But I hope your delivery is much quicker (and you heal more quickly) than mine. Good luck! You'll have your baby home in your arms before you know it and you'll hardly remember what life was like before you were a momma.
