Here I am at 38 weeks...
I think the word that comes to mind is....GYNORMOUS!!! I am surprised that I don't have bruises on my belly. You would think by this point I would have a better spacial perspective, but I still think I can sqeeze through small spaces and not to mention all the times I have ran into the counter or not rounded a corner without wacking it. I hope she doesn't come out a clutz because that's what she is used to!
Well, last Friday Ian got a surprise at work. The ladies threw him his very own baby shower at lunch time. He was a very good sport about the whole thing. They all dressed in pink, decorated with pink decorations and made a pink star cake. He got adorable outfits, blankets and gifts. When he came home his hands were full of gift bags and bows with a huge smile on his face. He said all the guys harassed him in fun, but he is too excited for our daughter to come he didn't care at all.
Last night the ladies in my church and neighborhood threw me Ellie's 4th shower. Including my first family and friend shower, the one my mom's work threw me (very nice) and Ian's surprise shower, last night was the 4th. How crazy is that! I had a blast and got some super cute outfits and a very generous gift certificate. I really love my friends in church. They are all so cool and kind. We are so blessed with such great people in our lives. I was really worried at the beginning of the pregnancy that we would be too poor to get enough outfits, needed baby stuff like a carseat and bottles, and not to mention diapers and wipes that our baby would just have sleep in a dresser drawer. Our family and friends have shown us so much love and kindness that it makes me cry when I think about it. I know alot of that is the hormones coming out, but my heart is full. Here are some fun pictures from Ian's shower and the one last night.
