My Name Is Snickerdoodle: ER

ER

Two letters that I despise the combination of. In my life I have had to go the emergency room 3 times and the most recent trip was yesterday morning. For those of you who don't know, I have Crohn's Disease. Basically I have ulcers that line my intestines and can make for a pretty irratating lifestyle when not treated with good foods and or medication. I have been slacking on both areas for a long time now. Tuesday night I started having somewhat uncomfortable stomach cramps that by Wednesday early morning got ten times worse. 5:30am I woke up Ian to take me to the ER. I won't bore you with details, but after a morphin drip, CT scan and being their for 5 hours, they found out I have an obstruction in my upper intestines. Not fun seeing that this what I had to go into the ER the first time for 7 years ago. Ian quickly made an appointment with my GR doctor so I can get back on schedule with everything. I really do hate having eye opening experiences that force you into doing what is right...because I always feel ashamed that I hadn't been doing right in the first place. BUT I am so entirely grateful that those eye opening experience were always not as bad as I know they could have been. I am feeling okay (or else I wouldn't be blogging) so heres to a better life...a better me!

  1. I jumped in from 2peas basically because I loved your "blinkie", that is so something that I would say and its one that I haven't heard before, but then I read your blog and I am very sorry to hear that you have chrone's disease. I know a lot about it and its not fun, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, Darleen
