My Name Is Snickerdoodle: Update

Update

We are still here and doing pretty well. I (as well as Ian) am going through computer withdrawals. Our computer to be specific, but are glad that I can use our family's for a little while longer.
With all the repairs that needed to be made on our home, Ian and I were thinking it was going to take forever. The people told us it would be a week or so, but you know how that goes...it's always longer than they estimate. Friday morning I went over to see if anything had been done yet. It was still a huge disaster. I asked the office if they knew anything and she said they were supposed to be there that morning to replace the ceiling. Come to find out that only half of the complex got their power back and we were one of the lucky ones. As for the carpet, they needed to wait until the sheet rock was done to assess the damage.
Saturday I went back over because I needed to get some laundry done and to my surprise our ceiling was fixed!!! They just needed to finish up some of the painting and put the blinds back on. I was so relieved. While they were finishing up the carpet guy shows up! I was thrilled. He said that Liam's room was alright and just needed a cleaning. He needed to wait until the carpet in our room was completely dry to see if it just needed a cleaning or needed to be replaced. He ripped up the padding in both spots and poured over some solution to prevent mildew or bacteria from growing. By the latest, we should be back at our place by Wednesday. Not that we haven't been welcome at Ian's sister's home, but it is always so nice to have your own things and your own routine.
On the Liam front...he is dripping from his nose, drooling down his chin teething. He has grown up so much over the last couple of weeks. It's amazing how much they change.
So I promise that as soon as we get settled and up and running, I will add pictures and make this so much more fun to read!
Thank you for all your thoughts and well wishes!
