My Name Is Snickerdoodle: MY 400th POST

MY 400th POST

was actually the one before, but how cool is that!!! I love my blog...it's a great outlet for me. My life is far from perfect and nor do I want my blog to be this happy go lucky place where you think perfection is my middle name. I have read a plethora of blogs in my day and I have found there are three different kinds. The "TMI" kind that usually end up being depressing. The ones that make their lives sound too good to be true. Now, you don't have to delve into your personal problems online (please don't), but don't try to fake others out. (Not, that any of my readers do this, because you are all great!) And lastly the blogs that I love...the ones that are real. A mixture of both real life and real fun. I come across a lot of people that feel they can't blog because their lives aren't that exciting. Let me tell ya...my life is so not exciting, but I try to find ways to make it so through my blog. Use your blog as a tool to think of ways to bring some fun back into your life. Share a fun memory you had that morning while you were blow drying your hair. Blog about your favorite cereal. Put a picture of you when you were younger and why you loved the shirt you were wearing. I hope this makes sense. I am not trying to say that my blog is perfection, (it so is not) but give yourself more credit when it comes to your blog. And this is not a guilt trip for those of you are thinking I am talking about you...even though if you are thinking it is you I am talking about, you probably haven't blogged in a while and know you should!!! I will get off my soap box now!!!!!

And I will end with my new favorite picture. I gave Liam a hair cut the other day and it was an event. My clippers died to I attempted to cut it all by just plain ol' scissors. I took him to my bathroom and cleared off the entire counter. He distracted himself with the faucet and I let him drench me in order to try to get the job done. By the end he insisted he sit in the sink, with the water on. It worked out pretty well.

  8. That is such an awesome moment you captured. I agree with you about blogs. Mine is boring and I post silliness or about Kennedy because I have no life. But some people kinda drive me crazy with the fakeness or the TMI. Your blog is for sure one of my fav.
