My Name Is Snickerdoodle: Classic Blue Bonnets

Classic Blue Bonnets

If you have lived in Texas for any amount of time you probably have some pictures of you and your family in the classic annual bluebonnets. Texans love their wild flowers! So much that every March and a little into April you will see a ton of beautiful wild flowers speckling the sides of the freeway! They make me happy.
When we first lived in Texas we tried to get some pictures in the bluebonnets. {Shout out to Kami!!!} It's too long of a story that I don't really want to type right now...maybe sometime! We only got a shot of us by the bluebonnets.
I told Ian that no matter what...this year we were going to get a family picture IN the bluebonnets. Of course he was up for it. So we loaded up the camera and tripod. Ian and I prepped ourselves to do the 100 yard dash since we would have to do the old fashion 10 second timer deal. Needless to say we only took 3 family pictures and 1 turned out...THANK GOODNESS! We took a million of Liam having a hay day and some of just us. I was completely pleased with how many pictures turned out! I usually have a really hard time taking pictures for ourselves and that there never is enough. This time, I just enjoyed myself. There is a concept! It worked so I may have to try it again.

Here are my 5 star favorites (of course Blogger doesn't do them justice!)...
My new favorite family picture. I am thinking this one would be fabulous on canvas!I love the guys in my life!
We got a lot of "action" shots with Liam. He is not into standing still to smile for the camera! It was so fun to see him just play and run in one of nature's beauties.
This is my favorite picture from the whole shoot. I was just trying to take some pictures of the flowers and Liam came tromping through. I love happy accidents!I captured this one on the way there...just chillin'!

If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and are wanting some fun bluebonnet pictures, look Ian up. They are only going to be in bloom for a few more weeks!
