My Name Is Snickerdoodle: A mother's love

A mother's love

We got a wonderful Christmas present early this mom came to visit us! We talk to her at least once a week on skype and then some on the phone, but obviously it's not enough. Liam was in HEAVEN to have her here. I had some fun activities planned out and we tried to do every Christmas themed thing we could think of. Shopping, singing, cooking, wrapping presents and definitely a lot of playing. We saw some beautiful lights at the Gaylord Texas Resort, and Liam had a hayday at our local jump house. My favorite part of the week is when my mom and I played games at the kitchen table. Something so simple, but something that I love. Especially playing speed rounds of 'Cover Your B U T T'.
Two peas in a pod!
Checking out the model Christmas trains at the Gaylord Texan.
Trying to hop the fence and get into the life size gingerbread house!
So handsome!Dropping mom off at the airport.

I am still that little girl that cries in the car whenever I have leave family. I think it's something that I will always do!
We had a fabulous time and wished it would have been longer. My mom is one of the most kind, loving and patient people I know. I love her and am proud to be her daughter!

  1. I love it when family visits! It's so hard to be away from them. I think I scared my kids the last time we dropped my mom off at the airport, I was crying so hard! But thank goodness for the moments they come and visit, it sure is a refresher for the spirit!

  2. so sweet! i cry everytime i leave my dad and stepmom. i hate not knowing for sure when i will see them again.

  3. Amy, your mom is very very kind and sweet :)

  4. I had the greatest visit. Yes, it was all fun. We laughed and laughed. Seeing you, Ian and Liam was the best. Love you all.

  5. we love your mom. she has always been so loving and thoughtful. we're so glad she was able to come out and visit. i know how much that meant to you and the fam.
