My Name Is Snickerdoodle: Do you Netflix?

7.17.2010

Do you Netflix?

We have done Netflix on and off for a few years now. We love it (when they are on the ball and send us the new movies...does anyone else have to wait as long as we do?)

Here are some random picks that I have enjoyed and
now recommend to you!

Dear Frankie (it's my number one random movie that I always suggest)

Wuthering Heights (2009 version) (WOW! I haven't ever read the book, but this really hooked me)

Whip It (I am a Drew Barrymore fan, but also love the
not-so-typical ending)

Jack and The Beanstalk (2009 version) (This one's for the kiddos...Liam loves it and it's fun with all
the semi famous people in it)

Forever Strong (just plain loved it!)

The Christmas Cottage (I am a fan of "true stories" and a fan of Thomas Kincade's work...plus it's a Christmas Movie!)

Tortilla Soup (simply for the fact of all the preparing food scenes)

The Counte of Monte Cristo (I really can't explain why
I like it, I just do)

Lost in Austen (a three hour made for BBC twist on Pride and Prejudice)

On a Clear Day (very inspirational)

Right now I am watching the first season of Roswell. I didn't watch it when it was actually on TV, but I am addicted. Ian was the one that pointed out that it's very similar to Twilight just with aliens. Very similar. Mmmmmmm...I wonder if it inspired Stephenie Meyer

  1. You recommended Dear Frankie to us and we loved it, and a cried and cried. Loved Whip It too. I have to warn you about Roswell, though. I watched the season when it came out and was totally hooked. This was before DVR's and I would count the days until I could watch it again but then like typical Fox shows that I love, they just dropped it. Happy Ending? I didn't get one. Maybe for the DVD's they wrap things up, let me know.

I haven't seen most of those movies you recommend. I'll have to watch them now.

  4. Count of Monte Cristo is one of my all time favorite movies! It's usually the first movie I recommend to people because not many people have seen it, but it's a great one! I haven't heard of too many others you mentioned, but I am always looking for good recommendations!
