Time Week 5

A few weeks ago I was in the shower listening to the baby start to fuss and the older boys reeking havoc throughout my house.  That havoc started to wander into my bathroom where Liam was asking question after question and Owen was now crying at the door because Liam shut him out.  I'll admit that my first thoughts were of frustration and anger when I then started to hear the baby cry because he had just been completely woken up by Owen's crying.  UGH!  Is this a familiar story at anyone's house other than mine?

I was feeling bogged down and just felt like I couldn't even get some peace and quiet to take a shower!  I took a deep breath and politely (in my high, sugary sweet, mommy voice) asked Liam to take Owen to their room, shut the door and play until I was finished.  Liam obeyed (somewhat reluctant) and miraculously Slone calmed himself back to sleep.   

The morning seemed to be starting off in the wrong direction and I knew I needed heavenly help.  With all the craziness it didn't even seem like I had a moment in the morning to say a decent prayer!  That's when it hit me.  I said my morning prayer right there in the shower.  I just poured my heart out and actually felt great that I took the time to communicate to my Heavenly Father.  It's now become a morning ritual because it's about the only time I am alone.  Now, I'm not saying that you can't say a prayer anytime during the day, but sometimes you just need a moment to say your prayers out loud!   

I saw a quote on Pinterest the other day that was totally appropriate to my time mission...

"If you don't have time to 

pray and read scriptures, 

you are busier than God ever 

intended you to be."

And since I'm trying to be more healthy and exercise more these days...I found this to be perfect!
