A Homemade Christmas (Pinterest Style!)

With having three little ones (well, two little and one who is entering big boyhood) it’s getting tough trying to satisfy everyone’s gift wants and our bank account simultaneously.  And truly, the two oldest are still at the age where a good ol’ fashioned cardboard box is entertaining and tearing up a phone book provides hours of fun (check that out here).
Am I going to wrap up a box with nothing but a phonebook and place it under the tree this Christmas?  Tempting, but the mother guilt sets in (and my better judgement) and I push myself to come up with great gifts for my children without breaking the bank!
I’ve been pinning a few ideas here and there and wanted to make it easy for you if you are in the same boat as me.  There are so many great ideas out there and the best part?  You can change them to fit your needs and wants.  At least that’s what I try to do.
All of these ideas are for littler ones.

And speaking of boxes, make something you know your kids will enjoy!  There are some other great ideas on ikatbag

I am in love with these mice!  Check out the tutorials at Oh Sweet Babies.

I’m planning on making these blocks from Ollibird for my two year old.

I’m also (hopefully) going to make a boy version of this adorable table fort cover from Meaningful Mama.

I got some great felt from Felt For less so these masks from Cutesy Crafts are the first thing I’ll be making with it.  The boys are going to love them!

Both of my older boys love little things to keep in their hands and pockets.  These wooden figures are perfect from Aesthetic Outburst

I might have to add this table from Meet The Dubiens to my personal list to make because it’s perfect for my boys.

If you don’t have space for an entire table then this is perfect and it uses a box!  The instructions from La Factoria Plastica are not in English, but there are plenty of great pictures to help you out.

Another super cute idea using felt!  You can fin the instructions for these cutie finger puppets at Made It On Monday.

I would love it if you would link up some of your pins for
great gift ideas in my comments section!
