Glorious Table

Some of you have messaged me about my table seen in this post.

We had been looking for a round table for about a year.  Garage sales and such.  My friend, Paula, text me one morning and says her neighbor is selling one for $20!  She snatched it for us and now we were semi-proud owners of something we wanted for a while.  Semi-proud because it has the standard “oak” finish and the top had some warping.  We knew the moment we saw it it needed to be painted.  I wish I could say we did it ourselves.  In our small apartment with no outside space or the right equipment, it just wasn’t possible.
However, we happen to know some very talented ladies who started their own refinishing business (Retro Chic Restorations) that just started out as a hobby.  They had an opening and we took it before we knew we were moving.  She finished it for us just in time with a few days to spare.

It was love at first sight!  We debated whether to go grey or turquoise and I’m so happy we chose some color.  The finish was absolutely perfect, with some antiquing here and there.  We don’t have chairs for it yet so we’ve just been using our old brown and natural ones.

That’s where we need some help.  With choosing what kind of chairs/design we want.  The problem is we like too many options.  We know we want all white, but it’s the design we are unsure of.

I love these Pottery Barn chairs (of course we would find a knock off).  I love the simplicity of it with the pop of chunkiness on those front legs.

Again with the simple chair, but it’s classic and not too delicate for my family of five.  Four of them who happen to be of the male gender.

But then Ian found these and my heart went a flutter.  I love the vintage feel and the worn look of these.  Plus I’m sure they could hold up to my littles and still look good after three meals a day!

Or we could go completely eclectic (like we wanted to originally) and throw caution to the wind.  Find a chair here and a chair there.  A little Monica Geller if you will.

So what’s the verdict?  What design is your favorite?
