I got another recipe featured on a local TV show (Good Things Utah) yesterday. The first recipe for fried pickles was on almost a year ago and so it’s fun to have a second one. It’s one that I actually made up while laying awake in my 7th month of pregnancy. Of course I was thinking of food because I always seemed to be hungry.

And you didn’t think I would blog and not include something baby related. He is starting to smile and coo which is so fun. There is a crazy commercial that I have only heard while the TV is on in the background with some guy calling his dog named Barky VonSchnowzer. I have no clue what it’s about, but saying that name while tickling his underarms results in a huge squinty eyed smile!!!
Motherhood is harder than I thought it would be. (I just heard all your motherly snickers with your thoughts of…DUH!) I know, I know! I was slightly (extremely) dilusional in thinking it was all going to be about kisses and naps, but I forgot about all the in between stuff! This might type up as selfish, but what about me? My mental, physical and spiritual me. Selfish is not the intent. Ian and I had a great talk last night about how I don’t want to loose myself in the mix. I just need to learn to balance my different roles now even more so now because I have a new person who soley depends on his mom and dad for everything. Liam is getting old enough to start him on a small schedule so I am going to think of what will be best for us. Wish us luck!
Some more good news that I have is I am 3 lbs lighter than I was at prepregnancy weight. I really thought I was going to struggle with all the baby weight, but we are on the road to a much smaller size! For the first time in my life I have the desire to exercise…who would have thought!
