Back In The Saddle

for like the 5th time. I have officially eaten my words when it comes to being a scrapbooking mom. Before I had Liam, I just could not comprehend my mommy friends when they said they had no time to scrapbook since they had kids. I mean, how much time does such a little person need? To all of those friends who I gave a quizzical look to (and secretly rolled my eyes at) my deepest apologies go out to you. Liam takes up a lot of my time and I let the computer take up the rest of my time. Currently trying to go through a self inflicted internet rehab…google reader is fantastic, but I think has enabled me. Just a bit.

Back on track…I have been trying to get myself in gear lately and do the things that I used to love…obviously scrapbooking. One night laying in bed, a sketch for a layout popped into my head. I hadn’t even been thinking about creating anything so it surprised me. The next day I started just pulling out some of my current favorite papers and went to work. That sketch totally morphed into something completely different, but I love it even more. I created something and let’s just say, it really inspired my new blog look. I can’t post the layout because I even went as far as submitting it to a couple of magazines like I used to. So therapeutic for me!

So for those of you who are feeling the spring itch go and do something that you love. Even if it’s for 5 minutes…it’s totally worth it!

And for a completely random…randomness…{because that is what I do best} {and use the dot dot dot way too much on this blog}… If you are feeling a little couped up, stir crazy, anxiety, bad weather blues, click here. Turn up the volume, close your eyes and just breath. I know it’s for orange juice, but I found the sound cathartic. Really.

Oh my goodness woman! I have a crush on your new header!

And I plan on kicking my feet up for spring break by reading and scrapbooking ALL WEEK! I even have my days planned up until then so that the house will be clean and meals will be pre-prepared! My name is Deneigh, and I’m an overachieving organizer!

Love that you got to be creative!

You are amazing. Can I rent you – or just your creativity – or your energy?
