Sometimes I have absolutely no courage. I just cower in my own little corner in my own little world and try to live that way. Well, no more I say! I have an aversion to doctors, but who doesn’t? Shamefully I haven’t been to a gastroendocrinologist (what I affectionately call the “butt doctor”) for way to many years. For those of you who don’t know, I have Crohn’s disease…it effects your intestines. I will save you the dirty details. About 6 weeks ago I “manned” up and made an appointment. Today that appointment was to be had and of course I was just fretting all day about it. You know the old saying…just rip the band aid off? Well, I did, and for once it didn’t hurt. It was just a simple check up and assessment (with procedures to come later) and wasn’t bad one bit. So if you are lacking courage for something in your life…”woman” up and do it! It just might not be as bad as you think!

    Hi Amy,

This is Danielle’s cousin (from the other side of the family obviously), Jenn. Just wanted to say that I love your cute blog and hope you don’t mind me peeking in every once in a while to see what you and your cute family are up to.

Also, I think that you are friends with my husband Marc’s cousin Janine? Yep – I just clicked on her blog and you are! So funny, small world – her dad and my FIL are brothers.

Good job on facing the doctor – I have a similar fear (long story that involves varicose veins in my leg- ugh!) but I finally called earlier in the week and it took lots of courage, now if they’ll just call me back! 😉

    Good job!
