I am still in awe that April is half over! I like it better when Easter is on this month rather than March. It just seems more like a spring month!
We had a fabulous holiday!
{This picture was taken specifically for Grandma!} Saturday, Liam got his Easter Basket and loved it! He played with everything in it for about an hour…checking each present out and of course eating all of the candy. The Easter Bunny was smart and only put about 5 eggs in there, knowing we were having a hunt the next day with plenty of candy!
He is all about the cool accessories!
The Easter Bunny gave him this little hopping version of himself which Liam thought was the coolest!

Easter Sunday we had a great church service and I even got a new calling…14-15 year old Sunday School teacher. I wasn’t given too much time to prepare a lesson so I decided to watch The Lamb of God. Knowing there were going to be teenage boys (8 15 year olds to be exact) I whipped up these cookies the day before and I think I “bought” some of their respect. Hopefully I can earn the rest of it by being a good teacher!
We headed over to Ian’s sister’s house for a fabulous dinner made of grilled steak (unfortunately most of Ian’s family are not fans of ham), asparagus, rolls and funeral potatoes (recipe coming shortly). Amory made this delicious cake and served it the strawberries and whipped cream.
I have decided that egg hunts are more fun for the adults that it probably is for the kids. This was actually my first hunt that I got to fill and hide the eggs and I highly enjoyed it! We had a million and one eggs just for three kids under 6, but that’s part of the fun, right?

Liam thought the point of the hunt was to eat the candy in each egg he found right then and there…he finally caught on!
I am sad that we didn’t get a picture of Liam in his full Easter outfit or even a family picture. Oh well. After the eventful hunt we all went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and smash some eggs.
All Liam wanted to do was play on the slide!

All Liam wanted to do before he caught on was eat the candy. That was funny..Loved the glasses. When he caught on to find the eggs he did very well. Landon or Sydney said hey thats mine. Does that ring a bell—–Danielle. So cute. Loved every minute of it.

    Happy birthday tomorrow Amy.
