Iced Strawberry Lemonade {Fabulous Food Friday #128}

This Iced Strawberry Lemonade was one of the first pins I pinned on Pinterest.  And oh, how it’s changed my life (thanks Brooke McLay)!  Well, that’s pretty dramatic, but man this drink is divine!  Get out your blender (or food processor like I did) and make this today.  I tweaked the recipe to fit more of my taste.

Iced Strawberry Lemonade | My Name Is Snickerdoodle

Iced Strawberry Lemonade

Serves 4

1 lb strawberries, hulled and washed
2/3 cup sugar
4-5 whole lemons, with rinds cut off
3 1/2 cups ice
1 1/2 cups water

In a medium bowl toss together all the strawberries, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water.  Let sit in the fridge for 10 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.  Place this mixture into a blender (or food processor) and blend with 1/2 cup of ice until smooth.  Pour into 4 glasses evenly.

Rinse out blender with water.  Cut lemons in half and de-seed.  Place lemons, 1/3 cup sugar, 3 cups ice and 1 cup water in blender and blend until smooth.  Pour over strawberry mixture evenly and serve immediately.
