Okay, I have been promising and promising to show these pictures, but have fallen a bit short. Not that they are anything great, but I love my new favorite spots in our new home. Everything is still a work in progress so I am sure it will all change soon (I am already remaking the green rose ball into a white one today), but you get the gist.
We actually agreed on new bedding and (I) instantly fell in love with. I don’t think men fall in love with bedding. I LOVE the quilt that we got to add a punch of color. The bedskirt is plain black and last night I had the thought to add some of same robin eggs blue color to it…maybe in a ribbon or a ruffle if Ian would let me get away with a ruffle! We just have the lame pillows it came with (I used some of the packaging ribbon to tie around the square pillow to add something) so I have added new pillows to my project list.
To the entry way with the book case I am wanted to redo the top with some things (I know what when I see them) and add a picture frame or two.
I still need to add a ton to the top of our plain kitchen cabinets, but that will have to come over time. I found this tutorial for the rose ball (that took me forever to do), but I love the idea of it…just not the green color I chose to do it in. Roses aren’t green. If I get the new white one done today I will post pictures later.
I am SOOOO loving our bird cages that our sweet cousin, Shalene, cut for us. They make me smile when I look at them. But, my favoritest favorite thing is the chalkboard that I designed and she so graciously created for me. Definitely check her and her wonderful items out here.
The little red bird was Ian’s creation that he put on top of our light switch in the little hallway leading to our bedroom.
The folded book is another one of my favorite, different features that Ian took the idea from a Fossil store display window.
And, finally the picture I have been talking about that we got for a STEAL. We don’t really do gold in our home, but it fits right in. We both loved the picture when Ian found it and I love that I can “hear” the breeze over the poppies when I look at it.
