A first

This year we avoided the crowded pumpkin patches and just went to a local nursery that had some fun bounces houses for the kids (plus it was free!). We didn’t stay too long, but Liam made the most of it. He actually wanted his picture taken and had free rein on the lot because no one else was there.
I had to throw this picture in to document the battles we pick as parents. I am opposed to socks (especially non-matching ones) with crocs. Liam on the other hand is totally cool sporting this look!
Signs that he is growing up because he didn’t throw a fit when I wanted him to stop jumping and take a picture. But with 3 year olds, every day is a different day!
That afternoon we got down to business and starting carving…well, Ian did the carving and I was over gut removal. As you can tell, Liam was having the time of his life and thought it was the coolest. (No, he is not going to be Robin for Halloween. In fact, that is actually an infant size costume that is a hand me down from a friend that Liam can’t get enough of wearing. It doesn’t even snap up at the bottom so it’s basically a shirt.)
Liam’s very first pumpkin which he affectionately
calls ‘Jack the Pumpkin’. Very appropriate!
