it’s been really nice to not blog for a while. Enough to make me want to quite all together…definitely not! I realized that I do love to blog, but it was starting to replace some other things that I really enjoy doing. Thanks for the comments and emails…I really do appreciate the love!

Some of what I did on my “break”

Worked on this dorky little number…
{our 2008 year in review dvd…yes, we do it and love it! It’s our second year and hopefully I can keep on top of it for years to come!}

I don’t think I will ever get enough of reading these…

We got the first and second season of this show for Christmas {$15.00 at Costco…fantastic deal} so they were instantly watched for hours while relaxing on the couch.

…along with my second favorite show…we have been netflixing the seasons we didn’t have and are too cheap to purchase {just yet!}
Tom Welling…Ya-uum!!!!

Hanging out with…
Real ones…not more TV shows. I don’t want it to sound like this whole hiatus I have been a complete couch potato, just lounging around in my pj’s, piddling around the house, watching dvd after dvd, trying to accomplish the eternal list of projects that I said I would complete by the end of the month, all the while fighting off the guilt that I haven’t done enough laundry, completely ignore the pile of dishes, and cringe when it comes to thinking of what to make for dinner at 5:30pm…I don’t want it to sound like that at all!!!

I have surprisingly stuck to this resolution so far by reading these…
{those aren’t my glasses!}

And discovered a new song that I absolutely love!

It’s from the movie “I’m Reed Fish” which I HIGHLY recommend watching!

I really wanted this, but it sold out…{crossing my fingers that they will make more} but have already started doing my own thing. Luckily, she gave a free download for most of the papers and embellishments!
For those non-scrapbookers out there, the big thing now to do is scrap your everyday life. I have done it a few times over the past decade, but not to this full extent. Taking a picture every day of something from that day. I really wanted to do it for the first year of Liam’s life, but that was so not realistic at the time.

  • I also organized Liam’s toys and put half of them away to rotate out at a later date.
  • Tried some new recipes which I will share with you later. SO GOOD!
  • Played “gotcha” with Liam a million times over! Basically we just chase each other around the house and hide till the other one finds us. He loves it!
  • Worked on my blog. You can’t tell yet, but I am going for another look. Knowing me it won’t be totally different, but I am trying to simplify. It’s all still in the works.
  • Organized some of my scrapbook stuff.
  • Made myself a scrapbook wall that is also still in the works so I will post pictures at a later date.
  • Sewed a pin cushion that turned out to be pretty pathetic, but I like it. I decided to do it without the pattern…I mean, how hard could it be? FOLLOW the pattern if you make one!

So all in all…I haven’t been as busy as I would have liked, doing all the fun things that I had in my head. But, ya know what? I am okay with that. I am kind of looking forward…wait, back up…I’m really looking forward in making this year WAY better. Let’s face it, 2008 is on my top 3 list of the worst years of my life, but I survived. I am still here.

    I was so happy to see your name pop up on the top of my blog list! It sounds like you were very busy to me! Way to go on reading the scripts…it’s only the 14th and I have missed days already! I am clueless on the whole digital scrapping thing, but I have some other friends doing that 365 thing. Love, love, love Gilmore Girls too!
    So sorry to hear that 2008 wasn’t so great, but I am sure 2009 will be soooo totally awesome!

    Jinx! I tried making that same pin cushion, but every time I printed out the blasted pattern it wasn’t the right size. It’s so cute and fun! Oh and welcome back!

    2008 was pretty “sucky” for us too, with the exception of Josiah:o) We took a blogging break at the same time…which was SO necessary…don’t you think? Glad to see what you’ve been up to!
