Not that it really was a secret, but I was so excited about these that I wanted to wait until I was ready! I am making handmade totes and craft aprons to sell. I started off with making just the aprons, which are so fun and cute. I love to use mine when I am teaching a scrapbooking class or when I am cropping. They are perfect for pocketing those items that always seem to get away from me when I need them the most! They are double sided and come in some great playful patterns. At the beginning of the year when I was going to make them, I also had an idea for making regular sized canvas bags that matched the aprons. This time around I totally forgot that I wanted to do that, until my cousin Susan reminded me about. I told her that great minds think alike, so THANKS SUSAN for being great…wonderful…a total joy to get to know! When making the totes I wanted something that was big enough that I could fit 12×12 supplies in, like cardstock, papers and albums. So I made them 17×17…not too big and not too small. They feature the patterned fabric on the outside then a coordinating solid color on the inside. I also wanted something that I could just put stuff in and go. Sometimes, fancy zippered bags get in my fast paced way! They are also perfect for a church bag, diaper/kid bag, exercise duffel and travel tote. I am really excited about these and hope you are too! Check out my flikr account (under my profile) to see all the patterns they come in (so far) and if you any questions please let me know! When July rolls around, I will be adding more patterns and colors to the list.
