Sweet (and maybe salty) Tooth

Do you ever just get a hair?  Not like the grey ones I am constantly pulling out of my own head these days, but a strong desire to just do something specific?  I don’t even know why the term “get a hair” even relates, but I have a hair to make candy!

I’ve always been afraid of even thinking about making a recipe that requires a thermometer, but it’s something I really want to try lately.  And not every recipe does require that blasted thermometer, but there is a certain science to making it for sure.

Do you make candy?  It seems like it might be a lost art.  The closest I’ve come is when I made these Jolly Rancher Suckers.

I mean, it doesn’t get easier than unwrapping one candy and baking it to make another candy.

Here are some of the recipes that I’ve found and pinned for a later taste test.  Some of them would be perfect for the upcoming holidays!

Seedless Watermelon Candies
Ghiradelli English Toffee
