Tis the season

For these…

Yesterday morning we went swimming with some cousins and it was fabulous weather. Liam had so much fun in the pool which is a rarity. Around 6pm-ish it starts to pour rain and even with our blinds closed you tell it was very green outside. I didn’t even realize that I was holding my breath and cringing every time lightening or thunder struck. Because of what happened last time (here and with pictures here) I really, really hate tornado weather. We hear the warning sirens just once and it wasn’t on for very long. The storm was suppose to pass by 7:45. I had a yoga class late last night (I know, me and yoga!!! Hilarious!) so I called my friend to see if she was still going to go. She was actually at our church (because of a youth activity) in the bathrooms with all the youth because of the sirens. Luckily nothing has happened and the tornadoes weren’t near us at all. Finally the storm calmed down and we ened up going to our yoga class. It was so relaxing which was exactly what I needed. HOWEVER, all the tension returned around 2am when the storm decided to pick back up again. I stayed wide awak until 4 just waiting. Isn’t it interesting that when we go through something tragic or even something wonderful, we expect it to be the same every time. We have these expectations that really don’t need to be there. The only thing that got me through the night without a panic attack was prayer. It’s such an essential tool to my sanity and to life in general! I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he has given us a direct connection to him. It’s still really stormy outside, but we are safe and are in awe of this crazy weather!

On a much different silly direction…I am jaw-dropping-hooked on I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here. Hanging my head in shame… no words…

I'm glad it didn't turn into anything serious. We experienced a few tornadoes in Indiana and the kids are forever haunted by the sirens. I'm glad they aren't very popular in UT.

I am glad nothing happened and everything is good. Aunt Ellen had a tornado close to her today and she is okay. Memorize the way to the bathroom with your mattress. Okay……

Hy husband's firm just let a lot of people go and he was one of them and he really wants to try out another state… he's thinking Texas would be cool… I'm thinking I don't want one of those in my backyard! =)

The whole heidi and her dry shampoo issues just reminded me that I want to try that stuff. she is so educational. 😉
