This isn’t the best picture of my tree, but I absolutely love these ornaments. It looks so much better in person and when the lights are off and all you see are the glowing tree lights. I love the sparkly snowflakes, the matte silver balls, and the fun decorative hooks (I CANNOT STAND the cheapo green or silver plane hooks that you always seem to drop and step on later!) BUT my favorite part about my tree is the new beaded garland that we bought this year. We ordered them from Target (they were all out of them at the store) and they are so pretty. They just add that extra touch. The garland pushed us over our ornament budget($50 for 30 ft) so we have to wait until next year to get some new things. Actually I was just reading Heidi Swapp’s blog and saw that she made most of hers (of course) so I may go that route and get exactly what I want!!!
I have been thinking about some of the goals that I want to accomplish this next year. It’s hard not to let myself get too overwhelmed, but there is so much that I want and need to do. Once I make a list, I think it will not be so scary and I can just focus on the important things that make life better and more meaningful!
Ian and I were talking the other day of how lucky (blessed) that I am to “work” with doing something that I love so much. I am so grateful that someone approached me to start teaching scrapbook class. I thought about it all the time, but was not self confident enough in my skills. Once I did start teaching, I loved it and it opened up so many doors for me with my hobby. When we moved to Utah, I thought it was all over. I am so glad that I went into my new LSS that one day over a year ago and saw that they were hiring for teachers. That’s when I met Candi and that opened so many other doors. Not only for my hobby, but for my personal life, making new friends and doing new things I never thought I would. Being published has been fantastic and now working for Cactus Pink that I know will take over the world. If it wasn’t for Cammi, I would have never gotten a job at Croppin Paradise and started teaching again!
Life is good and I need to remember that EVERY day!
