Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate has become a classic holiday drink! Made with good quality chocolate, your favorite caramel sauce and Himalayan Pink Salt! All simmered together with scalding half and half makes this recipe super comforting.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Half and Half
  • 6 oz. Good Quality Dark Chocolate
  • 4 TBSP Caramel Sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1 Cup Whipping Cream
  • 2 TBSP Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

  • Pour two cups of half and half into a medium size sauce pan.
  • Grate 6 oz of good quality dark chocolate and add it to the half and half.
  • Add in 4 tablespoons of caramel sauce
  • Sprinkle in 1/8 tsp Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt.
  • Whisk together ingredients and turn on heat to medium.
  • Bring the hot chocolate to a simmer and cook until the chocolate is melted.
  • Pour into a large mug and top with a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
  • Drizzle with more caramel sauce and sprinkle with Morton® Coarse Himalayan Pink Salt.
  • Makes two servings.
