Apple Filling
- 3 Granny Smith Apples
- 2 Honey Crisp Apples
- 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 TBSP Cornstarch
- 1 TBSP Cinnamon
- 4 TBSP Cold Butter
Crisp Topping
- 6 TBBP Butter Melted
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 2 TBSP Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 Cup Instant Oats Optional
Preheat your oven to 375.
Peel, core, slice your apples and place in a large bowl.
Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and corn starch and toss to coat.
In a 10 inch baking dish dot the bottom with the the 4 TBSP of butter.
Pour apples over butter.
In the same large bowl stir together melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and flour until well combined
It should look/feel like damp sand and hold together if you press it with your fingers.
Sprinkle the topping over the apples, completely covering.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
