The one where I forget to add the most important

ingredient on camera.

I made a huge batch of guacamole for a bread making retreat that I am pretending to be a chef at in Waco, Texas.

I used to work for a catering company many years ago so I’ve got the skills. They just might be a little rusty.

So, when I’m feeding 21 ladies dinner and dessert for 3 nights, I tend to go a little overboard on some of my favorite things.

Like this quacamole where I forget to add fresh lime juice (on camera).

It’s the most basic recipe, but it’s my most favorite ever.

Do you consider yourself

a super fan of ice cream or is it just a nice treat every now and then?

I do love ice cream so when I eat it I want it to be so over the top good that I have no regrets in my voice to indulge.

That’s why I love making these protein treats using my favorite protein.

Since the Vitamin Shoppe has @cleansimpleeats BOGO 50% off until April 14th I knew I wanted to try a flavor. I haven’t tried before which was a Strawberry Cheesecake.

I’m telling you, it is the best strawberry ice cream I’ve had in a very long time! It’s super creamy and has 20 g of protein in it. Not to mention fresh strawberries.

Has there ever been something you

saw online and instantly purchased it?

I’ve ordered things in the past after thinking about for a bit. Even went and searched it up and looking into it a little before buying it.

I saw a video with someone making chicken using this exact pan and knew I needed it right then.

The moment the pan came, I opened the box, washed it and came up with a delicious recipe with what I had in the fridge. *Recipe coming soon!)

My family never ate dinner so fast and asked for more!

No, I am not on

@bluebellicecream payroll! But I’ll gladly get paid in pints of ice cream for all the live long day.

When I was dating my husband and I flew to Texas to meet his family that’s when my love affair of Blue Bell ice cream began.

Now living in Texas for the past 16 years I can proudly say it’s been the only ice cream that has ever graced my freezer.

*With the occasional Chunky Monkey pint from the other guys!

Every single person in my family’s eyes lit up when I had them try the new Gooey Butter Cake flavor.

It’s definitely one that will be on a rotation in our house! Right in between Dutch Chocolate and Cookie TwoStep!

This might be controversial, but just how long have you

had your baking sheets?

When I got married we received 11 baking sheets. I decided I only needed 2, but decided to keep 4 so I could swap the first ones out for sparkling new ones once they got too used.

As you can clearly see, I never swapped them out and still use the original four 24 years later!

Oh, and by the way, these are my favorite versions of a Fruit Pizza Cookie. It uses the same base as my Snickerdoodles.

If you’re thinking this is just plain popcorn, swipe to see the two ingredients

that make this a snack your new favorite!

And when I say 2 ingredients, I mean they come from 1 lemon. You’re going to use both the zest and juice!

Pop up your favorite popcorn and put it in a large bowl.
Melt just a few tablespoons of butter with the zest of one lemon .
Add just 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice to the melted butter and drizzle over the popcorn .
Of course sprinkle with a generous amount of salt.

Did you have that one thing you did as a child that

you still do as an adult?

I detested salad dressing as a kid. Even when we’d go to Olive Garden as a family I’d have my mom ask for them to make a dry salad just for me.

To be honest, I still like my salad dressing on the side, but it’s more about finding my preferred ratio.

However, this is my all time favorite salad in the entire world and I coat every last bit with a delectable homemade dressing!

Does anyone else have the one

candy from their childhood that brings back all the memories whenever they see or taste it?

Mine has to be jelly beans!

My mom would grab a few bags to fill our Easter baskets with and inevitably a bag of “spiced” jelly beans would make it into the mix.

I would always get so disappointed when I’d bite into one and be disgusted!

But whenever I’d find the perfect pink Jelly Bean I was thrilled!

Which then leads me to one of my top three sweets of all time….@jolleyrancher Jelly Hearts! They are what every jelly bean aspires to be and what all the other Valentine candies wished they’d be!

I always stock up every season. Have you had them?

Have you ever had to make yourself just

sit back and be in the moment with your kids because they are growing up at a rapid rate?

It used to really bother me when I was a young mom and older moms used to tell me to soak it all in while my kids were little.

I would outwardly smile, and say, “Of course!”, while inwardly, I was drowning as a mom of three little boys.

Now that my boys are preteen/teenagers, I get it.

I get it.

Christmas this year looks a little different than it has in the past. And do you know what?

I might like it even better! Even though my boys were so fun when they were little they are even more fun now that they are teenagers.

But you’ll never catch me telling a young mom to soak it all in because she needs a good break and a nap!

What’s your advice to young, overwhelmed parents of young kids during the holidays?

“Alexa, add peppermint candy canes,

Vanilla ice cream
Peppermint Syrup
Vanilla Ice Cream
Chocolate Magic Shell
Canned Whipped Cream
and Maraschino Cherries

to my grocery list.”

But only if you have Alexa. That would be weird to say out loud if you didn’t!

This, by far, is one of the best recipes for a Peppermint Chip Shake. For the cost of what you could get one at a restaurant, you could make 4 at home.

These are on repeat in my house all December long.
