Yes, it is supposed to look like that. It’s not undercooked. It’s Hot Fudge Pudding cake a la Holly (my mom). The recipe is wacky, but it ends up with this decadent chocolate sauce on the bottom. We like to serve it over ice cream to cut the sweetness. *Name the movie! Save this because you know you want to try it! 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup of cocoa powder 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup milk 1/3 cup butter, melted 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract FOR SAUCE 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup cocoa powder 1 1/4 cups, hot water Whisk together sugar, cocoa, flour, baking powder together with melted butter until smooth. Mix in milk and vanilla. Pour into a 9 inch baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Whisk together the remaining sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder for the sauce. Sprinkle that evenly over the better. Gently pour over hot water and do not stir. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes. Center will be almost set.
