We don’t really do fancy tacos around here. Just something that resembles that it’s from the 80’s and we all love them. Did you grow up with tacos like this or something different? So many friends that I know who make tacos similar to this have only seasoned their beef with dry mixes. And their family likes it just alright. It’s not until I suggest they add 1 8oz. can of tomato sauce (per pound of meat) and let it simmer for 5 minutes that their family actually starts to request tacos for dinner. I think the thing I love about slow cookers is that they can be so helpful all year long. Don’t want to heat up your house because it’s blazing hot in the summer? Use the slow cooker. Need dinner to be on the table but only have a few spare minutes in the morning to be in the kitchen? Pull out the crock pot. Want a comforting meal in the cold winter months. You get it. I said what I said. But I’ll say it again. When making guacamole at home, adding just enough water to cover the top (when storing it) gives a barrier far superior than any plastic wrap or lid will. When you want to serve it, simply pour off the water and just give it a little stir. And don’t bother with the trick of adding the pit. Just water. And if you read this far, you get an extra bonus…. Put your tortilla chips in the microwave for about 15-20 second, sprinkle with just a pinch of salt and dig in! I’m still in disbelief and shock. I was stagnant between 20k-23k followers for almost 4 years. And that was me posting multiple times a week!! *Thank you so so much for being here with me! Yes, this growth happened over a 6 week period. No, it’s still not about the numbers. Yes, it was because of a few of my Reels going crazy viral. I’m pretty sure you are going to want to make this English Muffin Bread recipe. What I showed you in this Reel was the hardest part of the entire process. All you need to do is mix together the flour, yeast, salt and water together with a fork and just let it sit on the counter for a bit before you bake it. When people tell me they want to learn how to make bread I always tell them to start with this no knead recipe first. ANYONE can make this. And btw, this bread is insane toasted!! Did you ever grow up with store bought cookie dough that came packaged similar to breakfast sausage? You know, that long plastic wrapped log that you simply sliced and baked. My mom would always over bake them and they’d always get stuck to the pan. I can still smell them and yet, it’s still a great memory from my childhood. This is NOT that cookie dough, btw! It’s so much better and not just because it’s homemade. But it’s completely baked in a skillet and cooked to perfection. Crispy edges and gooey in the center. Did you ever see the movie Hook? I remember wanting to have an imaginary dinner as a kid. It seemed like it was what dreams where made of. This is loosely based off that concept. For my son’s 14 birthday last year I bought all of his favorite junk foods, fruits and veggies and just displayed them down the center of the table for all of his friends to sit and enjoy.
