My Name Is Snickerdoodle: Sweet

Sweet

The last couple weeks have been some of those weeks. You know, the ones where you haven't really done too much, but you seem constantly busy. I am happy that we have done so much and haven't been bored. Even this last weekend were fun filled. We had some fabulous friends over for dinner on Saturday (where I made this) and Barb brought over a scrumptious blueberry struesel cake. They have a son who is 1 1/2 years older than Liam and they had a blast playing together. Of course it was great to catch up with them and every time we get together we always wonder why we don't do it more often. Yesterday at church I was thinking about all the desserts that were waiting for us at home. It was Fast Sunday so I seem to dwell more on food than normal. Ian and I invited more friends over for a buffet of goodness...The cake and ice cream that Barb left, half of this pound cake that I had already given some family members some, these mint cookies that I had in the freezer, and this ever so good Blue Bell Groom's Cake ice cream! They all stayed until 11:00pm and we didn't even realize how late it was. That's when you know you are having a good time.

So back to the last couple of weeks...My cousin, Janine (well, actually Ian's cousin's wife) was in town to do a craft show with her sister-in-law, Shalene. She makes fabulous beaded interchangable watch bands and sells cute watch faces to go with them. I was able to help her while she was here and discovered her crafty genius. There are other watch bands out there, but none that I have seen that are this wonderful. I got this watch and I absolutely love it. Janine is nice enough to do a giveaway here on my blog! Not only one watch but two watches for two winners! Make sure to check back here on Thursday for the details!!!
