This recipe is just as easy as the others and I really hope you make it. Even though it’s made with summer strawberries, this truly can be created any time of the year.

It’s super slushy and refreshing and you only need a few ingredients. It does take a few hours to prepare, but I promise you it’s completely worth the time!

How To Make A Slushie

  • Using a blender or food processor, puree strawberries and pour into a large bowl.
  • Add in the lemonade mix and water then stir until the lemonade mix is dissolved. About 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour into a 9×13 dish and place into the freezer. It needs to be made of plastic or metal. If you use glass in the freezer there’s a greater chance it will crack and break.
A super easy frozen beverage recipe.
  • Set a timer for 1 hour.
  • Remove the strawberry mixture from the freezer.
  • Scrap mixture with a fork. It will still be pretty liquidy, but ice crystals should be forming on the top an around the edges at this point.

  • Repeat every hour for 4 hours, scrapping and stirring the mixture.
  • This can seem a little daunting, but it is such an easier process than freezing then entire block and then trying to break it up. Scraping it while it’s in the process of freezing makes it a slushie.
  • Once it all broken up and resembles shaved ice, scoop about 1 cup of the slush in to a cup and fill it up with chilled Sprite or Ginger-ale.
  • Serve immediately.
