If you’ve been around here long enough you know that I love a good knock off recipe for my favorite menu items.
Two of my most favorites have been from the exact same franchise this Frosted Key Lime is from.
My favorite fast food restaurant, Chick-fil-a.
The first I created years ago and has been a reader favorite ever since.
My copycat Chick-fil-a Chicken Nuggets are pretty spot in the flavor department and fairly easy to make. All of my boys LOVE them and I don’t mind the extra mess they make in my kitchen.
The second copycat recipe was for their first frosted treat, the Frosted Lemonade. I truly created something that you can’t even tell the difference! Since making that initial recipe it’s become a favorite of mine. I especially love it during the hot summer months.
This Frosted Key Lime copycat version is just as fabulous as it’s original.
The key is using good quality vanilla ice cream. The extra little lime juice also helps bring a freshness to it.
You can top with with whipped cream and a cherry or leave them both out of the recipe equation. Either way it’s super delicious.
How To Make Chick-fil-a Frosted Key Lime Copycat Recipe
- In a blender combine vanilla ice cream, Simply limeade and freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Blend until completely smooth, about 1 minute.
- Pour evenly into two tall glasses.
- Add whipped cream and top with a maraschino cherry.

- 1 1/2 Cups Simply Limeade
- 1/4 Cup Lime Juice Freshly Squeezed

Maraschino Cherries with Stems
Instructions
- In a blender combine vanilla ice cream, limeade and lime juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour evenly into two tall glasses and top with whipped cream and a cherry.
